Dr. Wayne Manana

Wayne is a specialist Oral and Maxillo-Facial Surgeon with vast experience in complex head and neck reconstructive surgery. He is a full-time lecturer at the University of Zimbabwe, Consultant Oral and Maxillofacial surgeon Parirenyatwa Group of Hospital and Harare Hospitals. Did his 5-year residency in OMFS at the University of Nairobi, Kenyatta National Hospital and went on to do postgraduate diploma in Dental Implantology at the University of Pretoria, South Africa. Awarded the 2019 International Association of Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery (IAOMS) Foundation fellowship in which he was able to pursue a 1-year fellowship in Head and Neck oncology and Microvascular Reconstructive Surgery at Peking University, Beijing China. During the fellowship period, had an opportunity to do a rotation at Massachusetts Eye and Ear Infirmary, Harvard Medical School, USA.

Outside clinical work, Wayne also holds a Bachelor’s Arts in Bible studies and is involved in various charity mission work as a volunteer surgeon among them; Albino Charity Organization of Zimbabwe, Smile Train, Operation of Hope, LEAP foundation, Love Without Reason and Alliance for Smiles. Wayne is the Chairperson and Founder of Global Cleft and Cranio-facial Foundation. Wayne hold membership in various Cranio-Maxillo-Facial organisations including of AO CMF and the International Association of Oral and Maxillo-Facial Surgeons (IAOMS), African Association of Oral and Maxillo-Facial Surgeons. Wayne is the current IAOMS NEXGEN council rep for Africa.

Specialist anaesthesiologist at Maxillofacial Centre and also Consultant Anaesthetist at Gweru Provincial Hospital.  Lecturer Dept of anaesthesia and critical care medicine and Dept of physiology at Midlands State University. Current Chairman Dept. of Anaesthetics and Critical care medicine, Midlands State University. Currently Board Member and Vice Chair of Global Cleft and Cranio-Facial Foundation plus a Smile Train Anaesthesiologist 2016 to date.

Dr Silas Kudakwashe Bere

Silas is a specialist maxillofacial surgeon with a special interest in cleft care, Maxillofacial trauma and Craniofacial reconstruction. Silas is head of the oral and maxilla facial surgery department at the University of Namibia in Windhoek, Namibia. After training in oral and maxilla facial surgery at the University of Nairobi, Kenya he was privileged to be one of the few surgeons to be selected to undertake AOCMF craniofacial fellowship at the charite hospital in Berlin, Germany which he completed in july 2020. Silas is a registered specialist maxillofacial and oral surgeon in Namibia and Zimbabwe. Over the last five years Silas has been active Cleft surgeon participating in cleft care both in Zimbabwe and Namibia including but not limited to cleft camps organised by a number of cleft lip and palate charity organisations

Dr Mufudzi Mushaninga

Dr Mufudzi Mushaninga is a specialist anaesthetist mostly involved in orthopaedic and trauma cases management. He is a part time lecturer at the university of Zimbabwe, consultant anaesthetist Parirenyatwa group of hospitals.

Completed his residency at Parirenyatwa group of hospitals before going on to do his masters of Anaesthesia and critical care medicine with the university of Zimbabwe

He is one of the founding members of the Global orthopaedic foundation in Zimbabwe and is involved in various charity missions as a volunteer anaesthetist.

Dr Petros Manyumwa

Petros is a pediatric anaesthesiologist working in Harare. He has been involved in various pediatric surgical camps like, Smile Train, LEAP Love Without Reason. He is a member of the Society of Paediatric Anaesthesia.

Outside clinical work Petros is an avid mountain bike cyclist.

Marceline Mudzana

Marceline is currently the Project Coordinator for Global Cleft and Cranio-facial foundation. Apart from the foundation, she also works in administration at the Maxillofacial Centre.  She did her undergraduate studies (BA Hons), at the University of Zimbabwe. She further pursued her Master of Arts degree (MA) at the University of Zimbabwe. In 2016 she was nominated for a research fellowship at the British Institute in Eastern Africa where she was part of a research community which was aimed at conducting and supporting innovative research in the Humanities and Social Sciences across Africa. In 2019, Marceline joined Zimbabwe Association of Church-Related Hospitals (ZACH) at Chidamoyo Hospital in Hurungwe. During this time, she also joined the Bio-medical Research and Training Institute to conduct ethnographic research on issues involving the distribution of ART drugs and Viral-load care of HIV infected children and adolescents.
